Yeah that will work. It should bolt right to your frame where the bumper is. Thats how those aftermarket brushguards work, as for how big of a winch to put on there, no idea I wouldnt put too heavy of a winch on the frotn end of this truck because I dont personally think the suspension can handle more than about 500-1000 pounds extra and that 1000 is pushing it....

yea, i guess different brackets. but the suspension changed in 98, so this would be a ttb truck bumper setup.
