Hey Vince! There are a bunch of guys on here that are much better at answering questions than I am, seeing as how I just joined as well, but thought I'd chime in anyway. I have a 99 ranger that has the 3.0 as well. It has right around 144k miles on it, and I have yet to have a single problem with it. It runs, and drives perfect! So I would say your truck has a very long life ahead of it, if you just take good care of it, change the oil regularly and do general routine maintance. Hope that helps a bit!

thanx buddy. yeah i bought her about 3 years ago when it had just a mere 25k miles on it and i treat her like she is gold. i have no doubt that the engine will hold up for a long long time. thanx for your input!

Hey man, no problem at all. Glad I could help! I am sure you will get many many awesome years out of your truck. You can't kill these Rangers for anything!
