Painting Gauge Needles
Has anyone painted or colored their gauge needles with any success? Looking to make my needles red on my 2000 cluster.

Yes, I used a red Sharpie to color my needles. not the best picture but you get the idea.

Re: Painting Gauge Needles
If your going to custom out your cluster with LEDs and what not, I say do it. If not, then don't. Because if you do that, the stock instrument bulbs will not be able to shine all the way through and IMO it wouldn't look good. But if you do it with all LEDs, it would look real nice. Something like this:

Pbavator, do you have any pics with the gauges illuminated? Looks good not lit. Was it hard to get the needles back on in the right place, or did you not take them off?

Re: Painting Gauge Needles
The picture doesn't do it justice. It looks a lot better in person. The face is an overlay that you just slide into place. Didn't have to remove needles, just guide through the hole and into place.
