yeah , am a bass fisherman, i could care less about catching anything other than bass (smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass, striper, white). I only use artificial bait. put it this way, my tackle box weighs 22 lbs! i carry 4-5 reels with me when i fish, all baitcaster. my primary bait brand is Zoom. i just got into it a two years ago, i already have about $1100-$1400 (that includeds my jon boat and trolling morot worth of fishing crap! And i consider what i have to be small compared to Sara's daddy or her uncles collection here are a few of my fish:

all the smallmouth were caught on the New River in Galax, VA
My 5 pound Smallmouth Bass

My 4.5 pound Smallie

DOUBLES (I caught one, then my fiance's daddy caught one)

My buddy was jealous, i was killing him ( caught that fish in like 4in of water where he had just cast, not to mention i already had three thsi size that day)

Went deep sea fishing last year (free of charge, nice to know someone. We caught 47 Dolphinfish in 2 1/2 hours! we fileted all of em and ate em!:

yeah freshwater fishin is way different and cheaper. in my experience, saltwater fishing is for those who have $$$. i would never pay 2k for a reel, i dont care if it was made out of pure gold. also the amount of $$$ those boats cost as well as the amount of gas they take....not my cup o tea. i loved going deep sea fishing, BUT if id had to have paid for it, i wouldnt have went.

I have 1 reel that i paid $100 for on a $20 rod. then the other one is a Abu Garcia Revo S that retails at $120, i give $50 brand new bc my fianc's uncle had it and was never gonna use it. my other two baitcasters i give $70 for and all my rods are cork handled medium action 6' with the exception on one, it is 6 1/2" i think---i give $20 for them all. my collection of rubber worms/baits is alot though...and crankbaits cost alot as well.

surfer03133 10-16-2009 07:41 AM

lol, i buy my reels at walmart. its better to know someone who fishes than to own all the stuff lol. all my stuff is better for bass fishing also lol

dixie_boysles 10-16-2009 08:18 AM

thats where i get all my stuff to with the exception of Abu Garcia and about half my baits, they come from Bass Pro.

mr.ranger 10-16-2009 02:06 PM

nice pics man
the biggest fish i ever caught was a 43 inch muskie that was like 18 lbs

not that great but i never really get to fish in the BIG lakes and rivers
