Hey everyone, got my ranger about a week ago, 100xxx on the clock, paid 3 grand for it. love it so far. I dropped the rear by doing the shackle reversal this weekend, loving the way it's sittin now. any suggestions or helpful info on these little trucks would be great. not new to ford but I am new to Rangers. Thanks!

How old are you? 21
What is your job? student, interning as a Hydrological Technician this summer in OKC
Hobbies? Auto mechanics, maps, GIS, GPS, Mini bikes, four/three wheelers, 4x4, off roading.
How long have you owned your truck? 1 week at this point.

What year, package, engine, drivetrain, etc. is it? 97 2.3( I believe), XLT not sure on the trans, haven't looked.
What modifications, if any, have you done to it? rear shackle reversal for drop to level it out.

Nah, thanks though. I got what i wanted and compared to the other rangers out there it was in better shape, had less miles, and cost less. don't know what trucks go for where you are but here people really like their trucks :adore: so they don't let them go cheap.

the blue book value of a 1997 ranger xlt 2.3 in excellent condition and 100,000 miles is $1,025. the price for a decent one is $850 and one for a poor condition is $550.
You got ripped off, If I were you, I would take the truck back and get my money back .

Welcome! Your truck is your baby and it's worth what you say it's worth. At the end of the day you are the one driving it :)
