Front wheel bearing

How hard is it to swap out on a 4wd Ranger?

... maybe if he was replacing REAR wheel bearings...

ryan, front hub bearings are easy. Pull the wheel, remove the brake caliper/cradle assembly, remove the 32mm nut holding the cv axle in the hub, remove the UPPER control arm from the spindle, disconnect your abs wire from the truck (if equipped), pull splined end of cv axle out of hub assembly, remove 3 bolts from back of hub assembly then re-assemble in reverse order. I highly recommend the use of air tools/wd-40 or pb blaster. you'll thank me later.

care to explain where in the hell you would use a "3-finger puller" on a 01-up 4x4 front hub bearing replacement job?

Re: Front wheel bearing

That situation is a rarity, most people never need to go to such great lengths.
