Narrow tires

So does anybody on here run tires that are pretty narrow like 235/85/16 or 255/85/16. Today we got about 2 inches of snow/hail/sleet and slush mix on the roads and my 285/75/16 were horrible. I think because they are so wide i was drifting all over the road. Granted my tires arent in the best shape and i need to get new ones soon. But i was wondering if people do run the narrow tire. and if it helps with towing. as my big tires like to walk sometimes when i have the bed full. Also When i get new tires im only gonna be looking for and AT tire

Re: Narrow tires

I have the OEM 235/75/r15, they were great in the snow, I had no issue with them. I am just going to invest in winter tires to save my alloy wheels and to have more stopping power too ;).

don't know if this helps though.
