hi guys. where could i find out what type of transmission I have.

I have a 2003 edge 3.0.

I need to get it replaced. Where should I look to get a replacement? I have been looking online at some sites and was wondering if its safe to buy one online and have it shipped.

Your info is appreciated.

Eighth character of the VIN. For 2003 3.0 Ranger:

V = flex fuel
U = gas only

An FFV Ranger should also have a FFV sticker under the gas flap and a leaf/road emblem on the tailgate.
