Ford Dominates Texas...

After starting from the pole posistion Carl Edward went on to win friday night's Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. During the Sprint Cup race, all of Jack Roush's teams were in the top 10 for most of the race. Matt Kennseth #17 went on to win it after getting out front early on in the race. He started about mid pack. David Reagan #6, finished in the top 10 and Carl Edward's finished 3rd. Dale Earnhardt Jr. also finished in the top 10. Right now as it stands Carl Edwards is leading the points with Kyle Busch in 2nd and Jimmie Johnson in 3rd. Dale Jr. is currently 6th in the points. You can view the race results at www.nascar.com for further information. Please keep in mind that the results I posted were unoffical and may have changed.

Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota don't win anything in a Nascar race. These cars ONLY share basic body shape with the showroom cars....with the exception being Ford. All Sprint Cup cars use a Ford type rear end and a Ford type top loader transmission.
You can't get any of the Nascar V8s in a street car.....not even close.
The teams with the money win and those who don't bring up the rear. Hendrick owns Nascar and gets everything he wants and have watched Nascar since the early 70s.....Nascar has always been lightning fast when helping the GM teams when they cry.
Tell me Jimmy Johnson can win 5 straight championships if his car is only as good as everyone elses.......hogwash! JJ was a joke in BGN or what they call Nationwide today and he was below average in IROC. Rick Hendrick and his phoney lukemia BS to stay out of jail was comical....then he buys a presidential pardon from Bubba Clinton........tell me his teams are operating within the rules!
I'll watch short track racing and that is about it.

A nascar engine in a street car is possible considering they all use a small block engines that are availible to the public. I have now quit watching nascar. It seems scripted to me. I bet things would change dramatically if they let Ford and Mopar bring back some of the engines that got banned like either the shotgun Boss 9 or worse the Hemi. No one could touch the Hemi in nascar during the 1964 season, no one. Richard Petty can atest to that. He won 10 strait races that season including the Daytona 500 where he lapped the second place racecar. Nascar is nothing but a extremely long commercial to me. Jimmie Johnson was handed the championship on a silver platter for the last 3 or 4 seasons when it was clear who should've been champion. Nascar to me is a JOKE.

Re: Ford Dominates Texas...

No racing back to the caution.
Top 35 locked in.
Teams like Hendrick running satellite teams like Stewart Haas for more R & D than everyone else.
Field frozen when caution waves.
Continuous meddling in the rules to favor GM and possibly Toyota.
Selective rules enforcement.
Drivers like Kyle Busch getting cited and released for 123 in a 45 where a regular guy would be facing felony charges and have to bond out.
Announcers are afraid to state their opinion and even change their statements after a call from the big red trailer.
Cars that have nothing in common with their brand name on the front bumper.
Lucky dog is about the worst.
Cussing on crew/driver radio communications results in fines??????
2001 Pepsi 400 where Dale Jr could pass anyone at anytime without drafting help.
Phantom cautions for pieces of paper to bunch the field back up.
Chase for the Championship?
Start and park nonsense.
Cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks.
Darlington loses a race.
Short Tracks like North Wilksboro losing both races.
Hendrick helped Nascar with the COT and then dominates.
Car of tomorrow BS.
75% commercials and 25% racing.
Jimmy Johnson....need I say more.
No drug testing as of yet even though we all know Carl Edwards is a steroid user.

Did I leave anything out?

However it is still entertaining even though only a handful of drivers have a chance.

All I see here is you whining and bitching. Dale Jr passing a car without drafting help? Lol. Yeah okay buddy. You ever heard of the right set up? His dad was a legend on the restrictor plate tracks so of course he is good because he learns from his dad. Jimmie Johnson earned his championship. Last year proved that he is a deserving champion. Denny Hamlin went into Homestead with the points lead and lost it do to impatience and not being smart. Johnson kept his car in one piece and held on til the end and did what he had to do, beat Hamlin. If you're going to bitch so much about the sport and say its favored then why watch it???? Start and Park teams do it to make a living. Look at Tommy Baldwin Racing. They were a start and park team and once they collected enough funds they were able to run the full races and ran up front in the 500, therefore collected sponsorship to run the rest of the season. NASCAR does drugtest, how the hell do you think they caught Jeremy Mayfield genius? On the fact that Kyle Busch getting cited, I mean, he is a professional Athlete. If Peyton Manning got pulled over I'm sure they'd let him go to. Point here is, if all you're going to do is complain about the sport, then don't watch it, or waste your time talking about it!

Ok, I have one huge problem here with JJ. How come in the few seasons past when he decided he wanted to be in the front, it didn't matter how far back he was; within 10 laps he was in the top 5/10? Right setup? Yeah, maybe one that came down from above. Don't even get me started on Jr. I've watched several races be given to him and almost saw another one given to him the other night. But guess what? They miscalculated and ran short on fuel. Why do they give Jr races? The same reason JJ isn't doing as good this year. It fuels the sport. Why can't we go back to the old days? Where if you had a problem with a driver, you settled it. If you settled it well enough, then guess what. No more problem. After all, a fight is the main reason NASCAR is as big of a televised sport as it is now.

Re: Ford Dominates Texas...

Nascar to me has become somewhat of a joke. The only real racing that they do today is my home track, Bristol. It's about a 45 minute drive from here give or take. Nascar does do random drug testing. They thought they didn't want their sport to become like the others have. Them going back to some of the old rules is their attempt to go back to the days when racing was a working man's sport. Back then you didn't have anything on tv about it except for the race itself and it wasn't impossible to meet you favorite driver like it is now. The last time I went to Food City's Family Fun Night at Bristol, it sucked. The drivers have become extremely arrogant and think that they're better than everyone else. That's why I have quit watching it. Not to mention the fact that it has become a corporate sport over the years. It needs to go back to the old days when it was fun.

Wrong. NASCAR doesn't give Junior races. They did it a few times last year on the green white checkered where if the car fired up they didn't throw the caution. Its a waste of time if Burton just fires back up and gets going. No need to throw the caution. You're probably one of the guys who hates on Junior for "living on his last name". Guess what buddy, its not his fault his dad was successful and made good choices in life and got to where he was in the sport! Of course Junior is going to follow into the footsteps right into NASCAR. Dale Jr. has proven himself with 18 wins, 93 top 5's and 156 top tens! He's finished top 5 in points 3 times! Look how he's doing this year, Hendrick finally gives him a good crew chief and he's running great! He has the 2nd best average finish, has run the most laps on the lead lap, and has 4th most quality passes. If you want to look at someone whose just living off their dad then talk about Paul Menard, he's just living off his daddy's money and hes shit. Can't even finish a season inside the top 20. So before you talk shit about Junior, know your facts!

X2. Junior said it himself in many different interviews. He didn't want to be the one following in his dad's footsteps. They were completely opposite concerning personality. Sr. was hardcore and would tell you what he thought no matter what. Jr. is more layed back and mellowed out. Plus that wasn't exactly planned either and if they did give Jr. races then why has he not had a win in over a 100 races? Jr became popular because his dad was planning on him taking over so he could retire. That's why junior became popular. He became even more popular when his dad passed away because Dale Earnhardt Sr. was a hero to alot of people. That hurt the racing world very badly. Junior became popular through his dad's marketing and this occured long before we lost senior. He needs to go back and look at some old races, when junior beat his dad many times over.

You do a bunch of crying too....typical hendrick fan.
If you think Nascar is great and going in the right direction then you must be 25 years old or less because the overwhelming majority of long time fans don't agree with you. You probably think the 2001 Pepsi 400 was completely real too????

lmao. Yep you are right. I'm under 25 but I've been going to races since I was born and camping in the infield so I'm not just some fan who knows nothing... I'm not a Hendrick fan... I'm a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. Just because I like Jr doesn't mean I like Hendrick... I'd like him if he drove for Front Row Motorsports. You're a typical Jr. hater.... You can't be happy for the guy who has earned his spot in NASCAR. He didn't ride daddy's ass all the way to the top. He earned it. He won 2 Nationwide championships which proved that he belongs in the top NASCAR division. He's finished top 5 in points 3 times since hes been in the cup...most guys that are racing now haven't even made the chase. So no matter what NASCAR does I'm behind them 100%...why? Because I'm a TRUE fan.

4 months later? haha
A lot of people say that but I grew up around racing so I know whats going on with the cars and understand what the announcers and analysts are saying. I can literally watch every single lap of a Nascar race. I told my family not to plan anything this Sunday because they are at Talledega and I'll be glued to the TV. Unless Jr gets taken out.
