Automatic Transmission Flush, DIY??

I have around 60,000 miles on my 2003 Ford Ranger Fx4 level 2 and i would like to do a complete fluid flush like what my mechanic did at 30,000 miles.
5spd auto trans.

I'm a stickler for maintenance and don't mind spending a little money on it but figure i should use my free time to do it myself.

He had a machine that hooked up to the trans cooler lines, and i dont remember doing a filter at that time.

Since then i have pulled a large trailer to chicago and back fully loaded several times, and i would rather do the filter, and all the fluid.

Any ideas how to go about this DIY without screwing up this trans?

----------

I did search the forums looking for answers but i didnt find any that fit what i was looking for, so if you know of one that does, or might, post a link please, maybe i didnt search the right words out.

I dont think you can "flush" it. It has to be on one of those machines that pump out the old and put in the new while running. You can drain the pan and put a new filter on tho.

used to be just like an oil change now they really push the flush? my problem is you still leave a dirty filter in the trans. The filter does all the cleaning.
