How hard is it to install new cam bearings?

I think my cam bearings are wore out cause I just installed a new oil pump and my oil psi is sometimes reading to near 0 when I am idling (and it studders too...guess cause of my timing is off). My oil psi will go up to about 50 when driving (oil psi builds up the faster I go) and it might drop a little below 50 after driving some. But when I stop it reads 25 oil psi or less.

So I am thinking the cam bearings need to be replaced.

How hard is it to replace them or how much does it cost to have someone do it for me?

Oil pressure should be 15-25 at idle, and higher under load (up to80 at most)

If oil pressure is dropping below 10psi, try your oil pump, or a MAJOR blockage somewhere.

Cam bearings kinda suck to replace. In some setups with overhead cams (like this one) you have to remove the valve springs to remove the cam.
You have to pull the cam out (not sure if it can be lifted vertically (2 piece bearing) or has to be slid out forward (1piece bearings). Usually you have to slide the cam out the front of the head. It's nice that the overhead cam means there's not alot obstructing the cam from coming out (thermostat housing, houses, some brackets and crap)

If the bearings do not have to be resized then you can do it yourself, probably take an afternoon. If they have to be resized you'll need to remove the head and take it to a machine shop.

You don't have to remove the valve springs to get the cam out of your 2.3.Pop the rockers off and remove the clip in the back of the cam and it will slide out.You will have to jack up the motor so the cam will clear the top of the rad and you have to pull the belts and timing cover and such.If it is your 85 ranger ,you should be able to pull the valve cover without pulling the intake. All that being said,I would think it is probably your main bearings if you are dropping pressure like that and as long as you have the motor out to do that, you might as well put rod bearings and oil pump in it.I'd put 40-50 weight in it and run it.
