door pin/ dome light

I have a 2007 ranger ext cab.. My interior light will not turn off, and the dash light shows the doors are open. Where are the switches located for the doors to turn out the light? Are they easy enuff to acess?

fored did away with the ones that you could juyst push in or tape in to get the light to shut off they moved instead to a p.o.s. sensor in the door latch to shut it off... if you take and spray your door latch really good with wd-40 and open and close the door a few times it should get it to shut off... this sensor has been a problem since they switched to it...

Had same problem with my f-250. The underdash box that dings when you leave your key in the ignition has more functions than just the dinger. It also controls the dome lights and seat belts alarm. It's about 4" square black box located under the center area of the dash. Just listen for that dam dinging noise to locate it. Unplug it. You no longer will have the ding, the seat belt warning and your dome lights will be off. Or, do without the dome light and remove the bulb.
Go get a new one at a parts store or a junk yard. My dome light had three bulbs, a reading light for each side and the bulb that turns on when the door opens. I took out the center dome light bulb. Never did get a new box. Everything worked except for the missing bulb that wouldn't turn off.
