Re: Well got stuck :(
ROFL AHAHAHAHA ROFL AHAHAHAHAHAHA
that is why your truck does not have a 4x4 sticker on it...lol |
Re: Well got stuck :(
you should come pull me out xD

Re: Well got stuck :(
Find a friend with 4wd and have them help pull you out. It just looks like you just need to be pulled. Very easy.
DO NOT USE CHAIN to pull your truck out. Find a good towstrap. Time for some new tires. Even with a 2wd, put some good AT tires on it, you might not have gotten stuck with a little better tread then those street tires. ------ I just looked back at the pictures. It might be easier then finding a truck. Grab a bunch 2x4s or 2x6s and your floor jack, or what ever jack you want. Put some boards down and set the jack on them. Jack up your truck one tire at a time. Put 2 or 3 boards under each tire. You should get traction on the boards to get your momentum going and make it back to the road. If you do not have boards. Firewood/logs work good too. Just be careful and take it easy. |
Re: Well got stuck :(
i want some AT tires but the way it is right now those are what i could aford. and i've got a friend coming out later tonight with his (sad to say) chevy to see if he can get me out without gettn stuck
---------- and why not use a chain? |
Re: Well got stuck :(
LOL what are you doing there in a 2wd? And you dont want to use a chain because if you have to snatch on it and it breaks it will go through whatever it hits, a buddy of mine had one break and it took out his back window, rapped over the roof of his truck, and took out the windsheild. It was sad but impressive at the same time, if you know what i mean.

when a chain breaks it has the potential to snap back and go through glass, tailgates, your head, ect. very dangerous. thats also the reason to never yank off a hitch ball either, ive seen one of those go through a tailgate before. when a proper snatch strap with looped ends (not hooks) is used and properly attached to both vehicles (using clevis's) the chance of breakage gets smaller and if the strap does break they dont cause near as much damage as a chain. |
Re: Well got stuck :(
get you a buddy with a tow strap. looks like itd b easy to pull out.

Re: Well got stuck :(

I knew a kid named Blanco when I was in the Navy.
dumb as a rock. |
Re: Well got stuck :(
Never snatch a chain or tow strap, never. If the tow vehicle can't get a stuck vehicle out. Find another helper tow vehicle to hook on the original tow vehicle.
If you can jack the truck up and put some wood, logs, stones, anything. That will help things out too. Farm jacks are great for that. |
