What speakers for a 92 xlt
 

I have a 1992 xlt standard cab ranger.
I'm looking to upgrade my speakers and my radio.
I want a radio/cd/mp3 player.
I also want some good speakers!
I'm not too worried about cost - I want some good stuff!
I dont have room for a sub so I want some speakers capable of some good bass - tho my musical diet is about 70% Godsmack :thrasher: I do listen to it LOUD haha - and I can tell my stock speakers just wont cut it.
Thoughts?

I have a 89' so we are pretty much in the same boat here bro ha Right now I have a Sony X-Plod in each door in place of the stock crap speakers Ford had, one of mine didn't even work. I also have 2 6x9's behind my seats in some cheap plywood boxes that are only sides , front and top and the bass in them isn't to bad, If I had more money I would just buy a tube and put it behind the seat. I have a Kenwood sterio ( no MP3) and a Blaupaunkt (spelling?) 6 disc CD changer that is about to go in. I don't know much about it other than they do exsist and some are on my Kenwood but they have things you use to bypass the bass from your doors to your rear speakers so I wil have the bass to the 6x9's only and the rest to the doors. Just throwin it out there ... Idk if anything I just said helped you at all but hey! Why not?

Well with a standard cab u are kinda restricted and Godsmack is the shit... lol So first you need to figure out your budget... Which is hard for everyone.. i just redid my system and only spent about 150. $ brand new kenwoods and a kenwood headdeck... Im pretty sure your 92 is Front speakers Front Door: 6-1/2" Far rear speakers Behind Seat: 6x8" Id go kenwoods all around and a kenwood deck ive never had a problem and bass is Great.
