95 ranger fires but wont start

I changed the spark plugs on my 95. In the process, I ripped 2 of the wire boots. I repaired them with JB weld (I then learned that JB has metal in it and that was stupid, i got new wires now). I also depressurized the fuel system (I was gonna poke around the intake manifold) and I messed with the 3 components of the egr system(I'll come back to this). Now i have a battery light on and the engine fires but wont run.
Now the pipe running from the exhaust to the egr valve was already busted at both ends (it was just hanging there) so i plugged the exhaust and removed the pipe and the truck ran fine. When i was doing the spark plugs, the egr valve got in my way so i thought, "why not remove it?" I also removed the "egr vacuum regulator valve" and the "differential pressure feedback egr system sensor". When the truck wouldnt start, i put all that stuff back the way it was but i'm still without my wheels. Any ideas? Thanks i hope!

By the way: I have the V6 4.0L pushrod engine, manual tran., 4WD (doesn't work though)

Re: 95 ranger fires but wont start

I had this problem over the summer, I did a regular tune up. and 2 days later my truck would turn over but not start. My problem turned out to be the power-train control module (PCM) Controlling spark to the engine i guess?
But it had to be replaced by the dealer and flashed to the vin by the dealer, ended up costing me around 700 :/ I really hope thats not what is wrong with yours. But good luck

yeah i hope thats not it too. I obviously have spark because it does fire but ive got that battery light, i think its something electrical. I'll look into the pcm too. thanks for the info.
