Shallow mount help

My girlfriend got me an MTX 10 inch sub and a 200 watt amp for Valentine's Day. The box the sub came in is entirely too large to fit behind my seat and allow me to sit comfortably. Does anyone know the dimensions of a shallow mount that I could build that would fit? I'd go buy one, but I'm kinda strapped for cash, but I've got some plywood laying around that I could use.

Thanks.

Re: Shallow mount help

Confused.
Are you wanting to build a smaller box for the sub you have?
Or go buy a shallow mount sub?

If you are wanting to build / buy a new box for the sub you have, you will need the specs for the sub and build a box to the right amount of airspace for it to be efficient. you will also have to tune the box if it is gonna sound decent.

Yeah, I need to build a smaller one. I just didn't know what dimensions I needed to use to cut the box so it didn't sound like mud.
