Tuner/Programmer/Chip?
 

Is there such a thing? I've looked around but haven't found much. I want to tune for best mileage. I have a '95 2.3L but it DOES have OBD2. Whatcha got?

aiight man, i had this same post, the only thing i could find was a Jet Chip number 80527 (this is for my 2005 so yours may be different)

i have a similar post on this topic but no responses, i havent found anything else along the lines of a programmer which is what i really wanted, have you found anything?

SCT makes tuners
Diablo Sport makes tuners
Superchips makes tuners

Stay away from the chips that you install into the ECM they are not worth the hassle.

me and pat the mod with the blue truck have the same programmer. its a sct. amazing is what it is

okay do they make for a 2.3L though? thats the issue i keep running into.

I have found many tuners/programmers for the '02, but I have the same problem of not finding anything that fits the 2.3. I'll let ya know if i find something...

they don't make "off the shelf" tunes for the 2.3 lima motor

you can buy a tuner/ programmer
and find a performance shop with a dyno and have them custom dyno tune it for you

i've looked.....no other way that i could find

best case scenario...
you get a used tuner for $200 and have the truck dyno tuned for around $300

you in it for $500 and you have a custom tuned truck

the hard part is finding a dyno tuner who would be willing to do it

I have a diablo sport tuner and I reality like it. They make tunes for the newer 2.3's

I have an SCT for the van. Was wondering if anyone has written a tune for the 2.3L...guess I'll have to ask Mike @ 5-Star if he has one ready to go.

They don't specifically list the 2.3, seem to be more into the bigger stuff, but he did say he had one for the 4.6L. Suppose he can write one for anything he dynos.
