Need some advice

Hey guys,

I have a 2001 ford ranger 2WD XLT with 123,000 miles on it. I have been kicking around the idea of investing in a suspension lift, tires, rims, dual exhaust and rear diff locker. I have maintained my truck very well and everything is up to date. Does lifting a truck with 123,000 seem like a good idea? Any advice or insight would be great. Thanks

I would say as long as you think its worth it then yeah. You would know your truck best and what your intentions are as to whether to keep it or not.

Yeah I hear ya man. I would like to keep it. It's paid for and still runs good. I just didn't know if you or anybody else knew how long these truck can last after 100,000 miles. So far so good for me.

If you want a lifted truck, it's a good idea to lift it. Tires and wheels are definately a must. And of course dual exhaust too is a great idea. I went with flowmaster 40's and it sounds great! It has a low sound at idle and still sounds great when punching the gas. But mine is a cat back system. I'm not sure if a true dual exhaust system is a good idea or a bad idea.

Anything well maintened can last a long time. I know a guy near me that has a couple rangers with over 400k on them and they are still going

Cooter83 - Yeah man if I do go through with it I want to do it right you know? I think it will look BA!

Clinton - Really? That's awesome and encouraging. That would be nice if mine would last that long.
