Replacing Idle Pulley
 

No mechanic here, but since my "Haynes" book doesn't address replacing the idle pulley but does show me how to change the windshield wipers, I'm left to assume it is a relatively simple task!? Any advice? My serpentine belt parted and after I replaced it, the pulley did not turn and just about burned up my new belt. ! Should have checked it before I replaced the belt but hey, some lessons have to be learned the hard way (hence the reason for me reaching out) :cool:

You will need to remove the belt again. If it is like my truck 1 bolt hold the pulley on. Remove the bolt remove the pulley. Replace with new pulley and replace bolt. Reinstall belt.
