Need new subwoofer enclosure.

Hey everyone. Okay so here's the deal. I have two 12's in the back of my ext cab and I want to go smaller in box wise. The sub box I have now takes up my whole back and I can even fit one person back there. I would like any ideas on where I could get a smaller box or make one myself and save money. I just want something (custom or not) to fit my two 12's and not take up space. I would like to fit at least one person in the back and or store some stuff like bags/luggage for vacation trips and what not. So any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm guessing you have those seats that face each other, right? I don't think any box for 12's would work. Sadly, I am thinking about taking one of my 12's out so I can fit 1 more person. I might just take both out, more room for girls. :P

Im going through the same problem lol. only difference is i have 2 15's right now. not much room in the back. Im prolly just gonna end up getting rid of one of them and going with a single box. That way i can put one seat back in. crammin 3 people in the front is gettin old.

Yea...you are kind of SOL. Only thing that comes to mind is getting those reg cab boxes and mounting one where one of your jump seats is (remove jump seat) and for the other take out the jack stand holder in the middle and mount it there somehow.

Or you can make stack a box height wise...but then the subs would be firing sideways.

Oh another thought, build a box with some space underneath and have one fire down and one fire up. Not sure how that would sound with the magnets going at each other though....not too knowledgeable about sound systems.

Well my truck isn't a 4dr its a 2dr. So the seats are on the side, not facing me. And I have never done a single sub in the cab before but that might be a option to do. I'll keep doing some mock ups and see what I can't come up with. The regular cab boxes is what I am looking at right now but don't know if the subs will fit in them. We'll see.

Why not make your own box?

ive been crunching numbers with my 2 12s to make it happen but theres really no way without making them sound like poop. And they prolly wont be as loud or as clean as they are now in a proper sized box. 12s usually need anywhere between 1-2 cubic feet each.

Jordan give me some specs on your subs. I'll get you a design made up.

Do you actually want to be able to put a person back there? Or do you just want some room for storage?

Hey Jordan, I got that box online at HiFiSoundConnection, They have a 12" enclosure like mine http://cgi.ebay.com/FORD-RANGER-83-0...item1e6082d330

I love mine, except mine it the 10" Ill put some more pictures up so you can see, and it only takes up the drivers side jump seat, and for a little 10", I dont even run mine at full output and its pretty loud.
