Im in love with this house

Sara and I went with our agent today and looked at three houses. We hated one but were very impressed with the other two. I love one house and we are seriously thinking about purchasing this one. Y'all have seen these threads before from me so you know how it goes. We have been thinking about everything and know what to consider. The only thing hurting this house is location. Sara does not like neighbors too good, but she said she loves this house too and can deal with having neighbors.

anyways on to the pics. Its a nice a frame house with three bedrooms, two bath. All stainless appliances, Two heat pumps (one for down stairs one for up). The WHOLE house has been fully remodeled from new sheetrock to every light switch, trim piece light fixture flooring etc. Its is what you would consider a brand new house moreless.

It is off the main road with a all granite driveway (short) so my truck will not get dirty by any means!!!

The kitchen looks sick! That looks like a pretty nice house and +1 on the driveway not getting your truck that dirty

Good luck with everything Scott. The truck looks like it was made for that driveway.

Good luck and be happy
If neighbors are a problem then really think and talk that over, the last thing you want is for one of you to change your mind after the paper work is all done , or after a a few months even. Been there done that and loss our a$$es on a place.

That is a nice little house. How big of a lot does it sit on?

Nice looking house! I haven't seen your other threads, so i don't know what other houses you've visited, but this one looks very cozy (the fireplace is awesome).

About the neighbors, i'd be careful on the location, especially if your better half (lol) has a bad feeling about them, after all, those relationships can take a toll after a while. Food for thoughts.

Its not that the neighbors are bad, its the fact that Sara has never had direct neighbors she is weary on. I personally like neighbors.

Sorry Tom no garage but thats not to say we couldnt add one on if we wanted

If she isn't sure about it now, I promise you she'll hate it later. I've been down that road myself. Bought a house in town, my fiance just couldn't stand the city.. She wasn't sure about it in the first place...

3 years later.. house for sale.. bought something with no neighbours... now she's happy

Didn't lose any money... but it was a pain in the asssssssssss.

House looks very nice.

As far as neighbors. Why not just go around and talk to them before buying? That way you can "interview" then and see if they may be crazy. Just ask them about the neighborhood. The new guy next door talked to me for about 30 minutes when he looked at the house. It kinda felt if I had bad things to say it was gonna be a deal breaker.

That's exactly what I did when I bought my first place. Talked to both neighbors on each side, and across the street. Great place to live, but it was in town.
Sold that house, and bought one out in the township with some land.
Anyway, nice looking place, good luck!

Re: Im in love with this house

Did some research on the place today. Stopped by the house for the third time to look at it. I wanted to talk to a neighbor or two. While standing in the driveway a car was pullin in the road next to the house. I flagged the car down and had a nice little chat with the woman driving and her husband.

Got a little history on the house. Confirmed it was built in 1970 and that yes the house was completely gutted when doing the renovations. It has only had three or four owners. No one has died in the house either (one of Sara's concerns).

The house was a foreclosure that was bought by the current owner and like a I said, he gutted the house down to nothing and rebuilt to all new.

No one lives in the house directly beside it and the woman said all of the neighbors were real nice and that the neighborhood was really quiet. So that is pushing us closer to buying. Going to look at the house on Wednesday for a second look and possibly get an offer together.
