What should I do now

Hey thanks in advanced for the help.
Today I rolled my 2000 ford ranger into the ditch during the winter.
it sat on the drivers side for about a hour. Im not sure if we should start it anytime soon or wait and let things settle. Also should we be checking anything fluid wise or anything like that.
Thanks for not gloating or laughing.
If you must please keep it to yourself.
Thanks again
Tony

Hey man.. sorry to hear that... i think the best way to go about this is let everything settle.. check your fluids.. and then see if she still starts. Hope everything works out for ya.

Yeah definitely wait for all the oil to drain back down into the pan before starting it...to at least avoid any damages.
Dont forget to check tranny oil and possible gear oil...some could have drained out as the vents on the driver's side....

yeah let it settle, check all the fluids, pull the air filter out and make sure its not oil soaked. if all that checks out try to start it. it might smoke for a little while. also check to be sure the inertia switch didnt trip.

Re: What should I do now

Hey thanks for the input. Well we left it sit overnight and there is a small puddle of oil that drained out the air intake. And some red fluid covering 1/4 of the ground under the truck. From what we can tell we think its power steering but I dont know for sure. And also for the fuel shutoff switch, where would that be located so when we try to get it running we dont forget about it.
Thanks again
Tony
