BFG Tires, Too good to be true?

http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...l/bfgtires.jpg

The story sounds strange, but is it worth a shot anyway? I've asked him for more pictures, hopefully they will shed some light as to the quality...but is it worth pursuing?

If they are real. Yes. But this story sounds fishy

I don't know. I know a guy and his dad works for big 10. When they get a set of tires and 1 has a defect big 10 throws the set out. Well the guys dad keeps them and waits for one more tire to come along and sells the set for $100!

It's hard to say. If he goes off road alot, then that could be why he ditched them. Alot of people HATE BFG ATs for off roading due to lack of cleats.

yeah when he presented the challenge i couldnt resist. its easy to find stuff if you know how to look. but yeah i realized i never actually put my input on the topic. i say call the guy and go check them out. he probably just wanted to go bigger. 235's are tiny.

Re: BFG Tires, Too good to be true?

I'd even just buy them and re-sell them for more. easy profit. either way, take a look at them at least.

Re: BFG Tires, Too good to be true?

wow, owned is right haha! you guys are good! Well, even though 235s are small, they're better than the 225s I've got on right now, and the right price. I'm sure eventually I'll move up to 31s, but one step at a time...

----------

Quick question...will one of these be able to fit in the spare tire well under the truck?

Re: BFG Tires, Too good to be true?

It's definitely worth checking out. I got my 22x12.5 BFG A/T's for 250 from craigslist with only 1000-3000 miles on them - I forgot which. Sometimes you can find some good deals on them.

As for the BFG A/T's, they work well off road, you just need to know that you're not driving on a mud tire and work with your limitations.

Re: BFG Tires, Too good to be true?

Yeah I don't do much offroading, but some mountain snow driving. I'm 2wd, so obviously when chains are required I'll be chaining up, but how are these guys going to perform?
