Gas cap farting ?????????

my 1998 Ranger xl 3.0 automatic 4x4 makes a farting sound when running any ideas, Also what and where is the evmv.........

I'm pretty sure it has a vent tube. There shouldn't be that much pressure in the tank.

Seriously though, it could be a clogged vent tube.
