Hello All,

So last weekend I picked up a 2000 Ford Ranger XL 5 speed Manual 2WD 2.5L I4. This will be the 2nd Ranger I have owned and am very excited. Just got it registered here in NY and cant wait to get to work on it.
I just turned 30 and work in the City as a Firefighter and needed a small transportation vehicle that I can also do some work with. My 1996 Chevy Cavalier with 207000 miles finally died it was a gift from the in-laws and if its free its for me. So it gave me a reason to shop for a car I mean Truck I actually wanted. Found this beauty on Craigslist and here I am.

The bones of the truck are in great shape, probably going to remove the bed scrape and paint the frame rails, etc. Then going to work on the bed needs some love, the paint is chipped and the prior owner over sprayed it and did a poor job of it. That is going to wait till it is warmer but its in my master plan.

The engine has 100k no ticks runs and starts smooth, hoping to get another 100K? Just bought an Ultra-Gauge to put in the truck to monitor engine temp, MPG, RPM, Etc. Cant wait to play with that.

So thats me in a nut shell.
Have a great Christmas and New Year all.
