Spark Plug Recomendations

Time for new plugs. 2005 4.0, anyone have any suggestions? I'm not opposed to spending a little more for something that will offer improvments with mileage and power.... Thanks

Spark plugs will not improve mileage or power. Go with Motorcraft or Autolites. Any other brand may not work properly. Especially Bosch.

Go with the cheaper plugs like Autolites, Motorcrafts or NGK. And I believe that platnums are a waste of money. Just go with the cheapest one from a bran above.

yeah the only reason to go with platnum or iradium is if your gonna build the motor, the iradium and platnum should last a bit longer than the copper ones tho. i bought platnum ones only cause i plan on getting the screamin demon coil pack and high end wires so it might help a bit in that case...

Our motors come from factory with platinums.

What's wrong with Bosch? I got the Bosch Platium Iridium fusion plugs when I changed mine and I haven't had a problem. I got them over oem because I figured for the $6 difference it was worth it not having to space them. Is there a problem these cause that I should be on the lookout for?

Yes. When they stop working and your motor starts misfiring, you will understand. No explanation why. Ford motors hate them.

Not all, my '09 4.0L came from Twin Cities with Motorcraft coppers in it.
