My truck is a Automatic but I'd rather have a 5-speed any day.

i love 5 speeds but they get old fast in traffic and such

Are we talking about in stock form, or in any form?

EDIT: I love driving my dad's 2.9 5spd. Even in the traffic, its really not that bad.

Stick's fun and all -I bet its a blast with a 4.0 lol... and those FX4 shifters are really sweet, but I do like my auto for traffic and off road creeping. They both have down sides I guess haha

I think manuals suck in traffic jams. clutch in, shift, clutch out, move 10 feet, clutch in, shift, clutch out, move 10 feet, clutch in, shift, clutch out, move 10 feet....gets very tedious.

Sorry :o , I guess count it as a 4.0 since the push-rod 4.0 was basically a bigger version of the 2.9.

Normally I'm biased, but to be honest, I'd much rather have a Duratec 4/Manual than my 3.0/Auto

I can't actually believe that people voted for the 3.0. I understand liking the 4 banger if you look for good mpg and liking the 4.0 for power but the 3.0 gets bad mileage and has no power.

Yeah, but they are a piece of cake to work on and built like a tank except for the cam sensor/sync issue.
