wheel spacers

Just installed some 235/75/15 looking to get them to stick out some to better fill out the fenders. Whats a good/safe size to run?

Re: wheel spacers

my mazda came with 235/70/15 ... 1.25" n 1.5" bolt on's is the lowest size with out modifing stock lug studs, cause they are 1.25" long on front and 1.5" long on rear.. slip on dont center right and can cause balance issues

Re: wheel spacers

well? good spacer are over $200 for a set of 4. it's your call

MattFetters 12-10-2010 05:17 PM

I got a set of 4 bolt on spacers on eBay for $125. They were 1.25" thick, the front cleared the studs, the rear did not and I had to trim each stud with a grinder. Easy to do, just a pain in the ass

Re: wheel spacers

I hade 2" spacers on my truck at one point. They worked well. I was just very leary of them coming off. I put loctite on the nuts that bolted the spacer to the hubs. 2" put my 235's just flush with the fender flare. I thought it looked really good.

Re: wheel spacers

I have a brand new set of 2" (only 2 spacers) with lugs. sell for $70 shipped, thats way less than I paid.

Re: wheel spacers

i run them on my trail rig, loc-tite is a no no. about every 500 miles take your tires off and re-torque them. i check every 500 and they are still as tight as the day i put them on, therefore i havet had to touch them. after a while they get set, meaning you dont need to torque them anymore. and cutting the studs isnt a hassle at all, unless your 90 years old, fat, and lazy
