Hey guy's i really need some help with this one.
i have a 2009 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 4 cylinder engine. i'm looking for a High Output alternator that can run my sound system (total of 8000 watts) i got one from a buddy of mine who had one for his 02 ranger but i didnt realize that the bolt pattern was different. his own bolts on from like the side of the alternator. while my factory one mounts to the engine from the from. this is puzzling. didnt know ford changed the alternator or maybe is it because i had a 2.3 and he had a v6 4.0. any help would be greatly appreciated. also i had an idea of welding a custom bracket to mount my friends alternator in like an L shape. or any suggestions where to find one for my truck.

Use the forumla......P(watts) = I(current) x V(volts)
Your system should be set up to supply 571 amps and how you put all those alternators and batteries in an 09 2.3L Ranger would have to be an engineering marvel. With that power draw you would nee 2 Leece Neville 300 ampers....good luck.
