I think ford can reset it. I think people have had them do it and it cost 75-100 dollars.

just always remember the speed when you are driving and you will be fine, thats what im doing and i dont think 75-100 bucks isnt even close to being worth it

Re: "15-16 inch tire "How To Correct Speedo"
don't go to the dealer, go to a independent that has the equipment

Re: "15-16 inch tire "How To Correct Speedo"
why so? is it just price or are there other issues that you find to be a concern?
|
Re: "15-16 inch tire "How To Correct Speedo"
it's not price it's because the dealers are wholes, and independents will do it

Re: "15-16 inch tire "How To Correct Speedo"
well the wheel size doesn't affect anything, its the tire size. and how much bigger/smaller are the tires going to be? from the factory, speedometers are usually 2-3% off from factory.

Re: "15-16 inch tire "How To Correct Speedo"
FYI: I called Ford the other day to see if they have the ability to recalibrate and they told me they could only do it within 2 sizes +/-. I challenged him on it and he said that's all there machine/computer has the ability to do. So basically what your door sticker says +/- 2 sizes. I call bullshit on their reasoning and believe they can calibrate to any size, I would have understood if they would have just told me the truth and it was a liability thing. Maybe other dealers are diff. I will check around. or maybe buying a tuner/programmer is the best route in the end.
