Got my first ticket...
I work for a major auto group in Ohio. We recently just purchased another dealership. I am in charge of all inventory and making sure it gets to our website as well as internet sales. The new dealership's inventory had 0 vehicles online so the GM asked me to get it done ASAP. The dealership is about 25 miles, all high-way from where I normally work. I wanted to make a good impression and get it done as fast as I could. This began with me haulin some ass to the dealership. But of all things to get caught by, it was a state trooper plane/helicopter. I had no idea they used it in this area. Good news is, since i was working, managment said they would probably take care of it. That's $135 I don't have to worry about.

Traffic School........
Save on ticket, save on insurance......... The 5 minutes you thought you would save by go fast, most likely would have been blown on having a cup of coffee and BSing with other employees. Moderate speeding is usually left alone by cops, ie 70 in 65, or 50 in a 40. But heck if its your turn, then its your turn, just have to take your punishment. |
Re: Got my first ticket...
^^Well said, but I'm not overly worried about it. It's my first one, and if we are going by either my brother or sisters standards, I'm doing well lol.

Re: Got my first ticket...
Is your employer going to pay your increased insurance premiums too?
|
Re: Got my first ticket...
Doubtful lol. But I already talked to my agent, they aren't going up much.

Re: Got my first ticket...
Can you defer it? In WA you can defer your first ticket. If you manage to go a year without getting another ticket, that first one disappears like it never happened. If you get another ticket before that year is up, you get charged with the first one as well.

Re: Got my first ticket...
That sucks man, but at least the company is paying for it!
I just got my first ticket in the mail - $380.00. |
Re: Got my first ticket...
No idea about defering it. I don't think that's an option. Maybe I should move to WA lol.

Take a STOP class, or whatever it is called in your respective state... don't just shrug it off and let your insurance go up. If your state gives you the opportunity to make that ticket disappear, DO IT!
