Brake Drum Size

Hey, everyone.

I've been doing some research regarding the size of the brake pads for my truck. Regardless of it being a crewcab, which is not sold in the US, many of the issues I've had with it are solved the same way as any US Ranger.

So, the problem is this. I've found that there are two sizes for Rangers: 9 inch drums for 2wd and 10 inch drums for 4x4... thing is my drums are 11 inches.. lol... All shops around here either sell a 9 or 10 inch. No 11 inch option available. lol.

Here are a couple of pics of my drums proving this:

Despite the fact that I have a Dana 44 as rear axle. Are my drums different? Has any of you measured the size of the drums so you get an exact size? Say, 10 or 9 inches?

Any help figuring this out is more than welcome...

Re: Brake Drum Size

Have you looked at drum listings for Jeeps? The Rear D44 was common in Jeeps, IIRC, so maybe you can find some drums by looking up a Jeep around the year of your Ranger, like a 99 Wrangler. Make sure you watch the lug pattern too though. I don't know if the small Jeeps share the same lug pattern as the Ranger.

I was starting to look into that. I'll have to do some research to get the correct Jeep model with the drum size I need.
