Backup Camera

My latest Mod, a backup camera. The hardest thing about the install was running the wires. Tested it out by backing up to my trailer, dead center first time. I love it, makes hooking up the trailer so easy!

The camera cost $30 extra but the radio is setup for it.

Hong Kong Special from EBAY, EONON ($200). Nice unit and they really try to make you happy. Quick shipping too.

I looked at that a couple times on ebay, but I read it had a lot of touch screen problems?
have any issues yet?

Re: Backup Camera

The only problem I have had was that I turned the touch screen OFF and there is nothing in the manual. But after emailing them they fixed me up.

Where did you get the camera at? 30 dollars?! That's crazy. I would love to get one because my new Pioneer head unit just came in and its has capability for a rear view camera.

Is this the same model you've got http://www.eonon.com/Car-DVD-Players...DVD/E1091.html ? How did it fit? Any cutting or other modification involved?

Sweet, now how did you get the extra length in wires because that wire in the picture looks like 4 inches in length lol

The 1091 is the newest model after mine which is a 1012. You have to remove the horizontal lips of the radio bezel and it fits like a glove.

It may look short but the video wire is 5m long, no problem reaching the radio. You will need to run 12v and ground back about half way down the truck.

Re: Backup Camera

I see. Well, it's a good feature to have and my unit is ready for it but not right now lol. Thanks for the info, I will definitely look into this later on.
