Question about suspension lift....

Im about to buy this kit from eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

It also states that upper lift control arms will be required. I'm all about doing things right, but the arms themselves are $275.

My question is, why are the arms absolutely necessary?

Here's the control arm link too.

Re: Question about suspension lift....

lifting the truck and putting bigger tires on stress the stock ball joints more than when you had stock tires and suspension. I didnt see anywhere in the link where it said the ball joints were bigger than stock. the upper control arms arent necessary but plan on replacing the ball joints more often. I still have the stock upper control arms on my truck but the ball joints are worn out. Look into to uppers with bigger ball joints if you think you have to have it

Ok, so more stress on the joints. If I can hold out on the arms for a little bit, it's alot better for me. I'll probably just replace the old ball joints when installing the lift springs.

Thanks man.
