PVC/RPM high idle issues

Hey Bros I just did a oil change/k&n filter change and pcv valve change which is located on the drivers side rear of the intake, after changing it, I notice that my idle at rest or stop revs a little higher than before, It used to idle right below the #1 on the tac, and now it idles just under the 1-line notch over #1 on the tac, hope im making sice.

dont get me wrong, its seems to not hesitate and seems to run good, but wondering if thats how it should run and the old pvc was just too old and the new one made a world of difference, thanks

hey STL, could you explain if their is a problem or im okay, in other words are you saying when cold, it will idle higher and when warm yours will idle under 1,000rpm. ?

Ya if I recall at start up it will be around 1200rpm then go down.

Now that I have the ultra gauge I know it is around 650-700 once it warms up.

it is pretty normal for all vehicles

thanks brother, I appreciate your knowlege and swift response, although I consider myself mechanically inclined, I know that sometimes I need to seek a more higher level of knowlege, thanks again and hope all is well.
