bass tubes vs conventional subs

as we all know rangers have limited space, even the supercab. i have a box with two 12" kickers taking up my entire back and its using a lot of cargo space, so im considering swapping them for these bass tubes. I dont know a lot about them though. is there anyone here who has ever had or has them?

i have a ten inch bazooka tube, and honestly, i fucking hate it. it rolls around too much, shit you put in the back gets trapped under it, and they dont sound that great, and do actually take up a fair amount of space.

Thinking about one of these for under the seat. That's not a typo. A sub under the seat. Still researching though so this isn't a proven recommendation, more like a suggestion.:D

well, im not entirely sure on doing the swap. i like having the full power of a boxed enclosure, but as i mentioned some of my taller friends are squeazed in. i plan on making a custom box to fit the ranger, to give my subs more space to do their job. would it be a waste of money to put them under my seats to try to enhance the sound? or would the kickers just drown out any bass tube?

took me afew months to make that box and yes i am a very high tech redneck and i even water sealed the box's wood before installing it and if u want more boom than this thread is closed cuz u aint going to get it with a tube or 10 inch subs to me 12 is perfect u go bigger ur just retarded cuz if not done right it will not sound right like all systems but still bigger subs don't mean that person that has them has a louder set up to me 2 12 inch subs and 1 10 inch sub and in ur door speakers 6x9's this way u have amazing sound quality u have low range bass the 12's medium bass the 10 and high range the 6x9's i am soon to be selling my box and making a new one similer to this one but the amps will be more hiden and a 10 inch in the middle of the 2 12's and new door 6x9 speakers lol when i get the cash to ofcourse

yeah i dig. i wanna keep the 12s. no bigger, thats just overkill and stupid. imo at least. throwing a ten isnt a bad idea tho. i already have a 2 channel amp so i really just need the sub. ill have to see how what my budget permits.

hopefully you get that new box done soon, id like to see how that looks.
