ACTA treaty

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Co...rade_Agreement

Basically if this treaty is passed ANYTHING that is copyrighted can be used for legal action and if you seen to download movies or music illegally or having copyrighted material they can put a permanent internet ban on you.

There are talks that this could happen as soon as September!

If this passes the goverment can actually look into what you are doing and if they seem it unfit they can take legal action against you and the goverment is for it.

Any websites seen as unfit like 4Chan etc. will be shut down immediately without proof or cause.

If this passes freedom of speech will slowly die and be controlled by the same government that fought for it and since it is a treaty Congress doesn't even have to vote on passing it.

There is also a three strike style rule where if you are charged with 3 counts of copyright material you can have your internet revoked permanently and your ISP will do searches of what you look up and have to send random reports to the government.

No one has thoughts on the government being able to ban people from the internet? This is taking our freedom of speech...

lol you guys have more rights than we do, and then you get that.

ISPs here actually advertised downloading movies and music faster.. before websites started selling them legally
