Who hid my flasher? Where?
Where is the turn signal flasher in an 1998 XLT? Reading the manual didn't give helpful clues.
My turn indicator switch cancel quit (dealer repair on a good day is $225) and I'm considering the Kisan timer. Plug in and connect wire to brakes, signals flash as long as brake pedal is on and turn off after 10, 20, or 30 seconds. Half the cost of the repair and a neat gadget we might see on all cars in the future. So please clue me in on location of the flasher so I can make sure it fits. Thank you so much my heart pours out to you and your family, you're such a dear. ********************************************** https://www.kisantech.com/view_product.php?product=SM-1 |
Re: Who hid my flasher? Where?
on my 95, it's behind the plastic and metal trim under the steering column. once you get those panels down, it's just to the left of the column. on mine, it's a big, blue box. it controls the turn signals and the hazards.

Re: Who hid my flasher? Where?
Thanks guys...and I just closed up the panels under the steering column when I put in the keyless locks, should have looked around a bit. At least I know how to expose that area again.
