do all tonneau covers fit a 6 foot box if the cover is 6 feet and for a ranger

No. I believe that there are two 6 ft bed styles for the Ranger over the years...regular and flareside. A cover for one won't fit the other. IMO, the number of flaresides around is much less than the standard beds.

Ya a flare side and regular fleet side bed are different widths.
