did you know?
Did you know Ford produced a v8 ranger called the ranger bolt a small brother of the lighting?
|
Re: did you know?
yeah but not mass produced it. IIRC, it was a prototype that had all of the F150 running grear and suspension under it. So techinally it was an F150 with a Ranger body on it

Re: did you know?
yep they sure did but they only made one of them though.

Re: did you know?
An if it was nothing more than a f150 ranger I have one sitting on the barn its a 91 ranger with a 302 built to lighting specs

Re: did you know?
The last I knew/heard is they didn't mass produce them because the goverment said it was to much power to weight ratio and because it is registered as a pick up not a sport vehical so I read.
|
Re: did you know?
But they don't have a problem with the power to weight ratio that a motorcycle has? Some motorcycles have a power to weight ratio that is insane.

Re: did you know?
It's the fact its a truck with that kind is power to weight ratio has to do with BS law crap.

Re: did you know?
Just look at the Dodge Ram SRT... That thing is beastly...
|
Re: did you know?
Idk. First time at the track the I beat one in my ranger with the 302 an at that time the motor was pretty basicly stock. An I also owned a dodge RAM 1500 (not by choice) an it literally caught on fire before I even put 500 miles on it

Re: did you know?
A Dodge Ram SRT10?! They have Dodge Viper motors in them!
