Front end noise

I have a noise coming from the front of my truck. I hear it at low speeds usually. Sounds like a worn out spring. I also hear it backing out of the driveway. I have new front shocks and my bushings have been replaced recently too. I have never had a grease job on my 2001 Ranger with 199,000 miles. I have heard that the 2001 doesn't have grease fittings up front. Can anyone help me?

My 2000 is also making alot of noise.. I believe the culprit is a worn out upper balljoint.

When I took my truck to get an alignment they told me it didnt have grease fittings, however when I replaced the wheel bearings on both sides I found grease fittings for both lower ball joints. Those are the only fittings I have seen on my truck.

I had a noise coming from my front end and was told there was a suspension part bad. I would hear it just before I would stop and everytime I touched the brake. sounded like something loose. after closer examination, I found I could make the noise just by pushing down on the fender as if you were checking your shocks. It turned out to be coming from the r&p steering joint under the rubber boot. I disconected the shaft from the left wheel and moving the end of the shaft could duplicate the noise. The ball joint was so tight it squeaked. I removed the boot clamps, pulled the boot back and lubed the hell out of the joint with spray white grease until I couldn't make the noise again. I resecured the boot with a couple ss hose clamps and its been fine since.
