Plastic step panels....removal

I would like to remove these plastic strips which are on the top of the rocker panels. I expected there would be screws....NOT! I have a 2010 "XL". Thanks, Dave

You talking about this piece?

If so, it's held on by a couple of clips you need to squeeze with pliers from underneath, and there's some double-sided tape on there as well holding it down. STL told me once that you can also use a flat-head screwdriver and kind of pop it up from the side.
