Can anyone tell me about the '08 4cyl 2.3l engine? is it the same Duratec engine in a Focus?
I'm also curious about what parts of the engine are aluminum? and if so, should I be concerned about longevity as opposed to an iron engine? The service guy at my ford dealership told me he doesn't think the heads are alluminum only the block, but I read the contrary on a spec sheet somewhere on the internet..
Thanks.

You don't have a subaru engine - it has a head, not heads.
