Hi, I have a total custom 89 Ranger. It has a 48 pick up body, chopped top, suicide doors, extended cab, etc. I am going to swap the 2.9 for a 4.0. I have the means to get a donor, I just need some advice on wiring, etc. How new of a 4.0 can I use for an easier swap? I assume that this site has some threads on this... Is there some one you know that would be the "know" person? I will get some pics of the truck on here when I get a chance . Thanks, Choptop48

As long as you have the whole donor vehicle it should be pretty easy. A v8 swap would be just as simple. Motor brains and wire harness
