restoring interior panels?
Hey All,
I've got a 1993 Ranger XL with the blue interior. For the most part it's in really good shape. The tops of the door panels though are faded. What is the best way to bring these back? I've done some googling and there are lots of threads and products for restoring black plastic, but nothing for the colored panels....is there a product you all use? Thanks in advance |
Re: restoring interior panels?
in the worst areas it's turning white....just faded in others. Was hoping to take pictures but left for work before the sun came up this morning :-)
Will try to post pics this evening |
Re: restoring interior panels?
that's kind of what I was thinking.
Are you familiar with any products for that? I've never done anything like that and I'm sure it's not hard, just don't know what to use or where to get it. |

I Can do either or.., just one is a step or two more of a process and depending on colors would cost a bit more because of it (i.g. red interior swapped to white). I vinyl die the entire interior panels wise any color pretty much from damn near any other make and model of any manufacture. The upper panels are removed and rewrapped with a durable material and either match that in the lower door in carpet or same material usually whether cloth or vinyl pc's.. I too had a blue interior and swapped it for gray interior which is still going to see a makeover in the near future. Depending on your hot button of time frames. I could show you some results first hand. I'm pretty adamant about detailed pics and Haywards not that far to ship to Vegas and back. |

Re: restoring interior panels?
I don't know exactly what your panels look like, but have you thought about covering them with some new fabric. Spray adhesive and a good imagination and you have custom door panels.
