Suddenly Stalled on Highway

Today, I was driving at about 50 mph in 5th gear on a highway and the truck suddenly stalled. I immediately smelled gas when it stalled (I didn't smell it at all before then). I assumed that the cause was fuel related. I pressed the fuel pump reset switch under the passenger side of the dashboard. The button felt like it was already pressed and wouldn't really go down anymore than it already was (but I am guessing the button is supposed to already be pretty much pressed all the way down). The truck turns and I have power, but the engine will not start.

I am assuming it is either the fuel filter, fuel relay, or the fuel pump. I did not have any problems with it stalling until today and the truck has ran well since I have gotten it a little over a year ago. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? And if so, what was the cause? I want to make sure that I am not missing any cheaper possibilities.

My Ranger is a 3.0 5 speed.
