1992 3.0/M5R1 no spark

Failure occurred at 40mph under no load, engine just shut down completely. Like I pulled the key.

Engine cranks, literally everything has power and I’ve checked/replaced inertia switches, spout connectors, drive gears and the capacitor.

Fuel is definitely present.
Has compression.
Spark is weak. Yellow flash.
Have had a few backfires.
Engine has attempted to run.

Did you test the CPS ? What did it show?

If everythngs there and you have weak spark and it backfires I'd be looking at whether the timing was off which leads me to believe Crank Position sensor or maybe even a Cam Position sensor.. You need to test both of those.

Turns out I was too tired to be working. Distributor was 180° out. Started drove this morning.
