Small leak in 2000 one piece backglass
 

With the rain the past few days have noticed a small drip on 1 or 2 spots on the backglass and one on each door. Wanted to see if anybody had simple fix? Or best plan? lol

Quite honest, that looks more like just inside condensation and when it built up enough to connect a few water droplets it ran down.

If your truck does get quite a bit of condensation build up, you could have a water leak but at the same time, if its just that time of the year where snow is tracked in and melting into the carpet.. maybe not. Could just be a lot of moisture in the truck altogether. Maybe try using bi-level or more floor heat more often to dry it out?

If it was a substantial "leak" I would say not only would you see more than that possibly but the chance of all 3 windows at the same time? hmmm

Thanks for the input and yes the condensation has been bad with no heat working. I bought the truck last week. For 400$. And have been going through and finding all the problems. Its been a everyday driver wondering why he hated it so much lol.

Have you checked to see if both upper and lower hoses of the radiator are getting warm after it gets to operating temp? If only one hose gets warm/hot then you may have a bad T-Stat.

If they are then there are two hoses going to the firewall, should be on the passenger side. Check to make sure both of those are getting warm. If not, then the heater core may need to be reversed flushed out instead or possibly both may need consideration.

I think once you get that issue taken care of, you'll be less likely to have a frozen arse and keep that condensation in check and move forward in enjoying that truck.

If it truly is a leak from the outside, and is visible on the back glass, it would be worth your time to examine the 3rd brake light on the top of the cab, make sure that is not your water ingress point.

I did check the hoses going into the firewall one was somewhat warm. The other didnt feel warm at all. It would be ideal if most the issues are things like this. I dont think the boy ever looked at the motor.

I had the same problem in my 2002. My first thought was the 3rd light so I siliconed it, and still drip drip. So I proceeded to remove the head liner and surrounding trim to reveal bolts all around the back window, one of which was missing it’s nut so I replaced it and tightened all the nuts around the back window and haven’t had a leak yet.
