Door lock actuator interfering with door ajar switch

So my truck was in an accident has a newer passenger side front door. The lock hasn't worked with the remote so I got a new actuator, go to put it in and there isn't one there. I slide it onto the two prongs and keep sliding it toward the hole the pin on the actuator goes into and it wouldn't go far enough because what I think is the door ajar switch is in the way. I've tried turning it but it only locks into position there.

Am I missing something I've done these before?

For the time being I removed the door ajar switched and bridged it and taped it because it started to pour but I'd just like to know if anyone else had ever encountered this

If you look up the door parts for your truck on the Ford parts website, you will see there are a few options for a door latch depending on the model year cut off.

I am thinking you have a door from a different year truck than your truck and when the used door was transferred over they did not transplant the latch over from your old door.

This may have left you with a new part that is not compatible with your current latch.

I would remove both door panels and inspect both latches to see if they are the same or not and get a part number off both of them.
