I forget the code but it was something like "Random Misfire Upon Startup." The guy at Oreillys said it could be the ignition coil. But I don't always trust them.

160k+ miles, manual '02 3.0L. New plugs and wires within the last 2 years. New CamSynch, PCV, oil pan gasket, water pump within the last year.

I do notice when it starts up after being cold sometimes it will shutter a bit but its not all the time.

Any ideas?

Well I just took a long lunch. Bought the part, ran home, swapped out the new coil and things look good. No check engine light. Autozone had motorcraft so I went with that.

Easier than changing the oil.
